Angry Birds Halloween
The Angry Birds franchise is extremely popular and due to the high demand for new levels, there are several packs with unique themes available. One of these, Angry Birds Halloween, is part of the seasons series of the game. The first Halloween edition was released for the 2011 season and was named Trick or Treat and recently the 2012 edition of the Halloween theme, named Ham’O'Ween, was released.
The scenery of the Angry Birds Halloween games is very detailed. The Halloween themed objects like pumpkins, lanterns and ghosts are used to set the mood for the game, as well as to make it challenging. Depending on the level being played, the pigs can be hidden inside of pumpkins or disguised as ghosts. The levels take place at night, which means that the player has to look carefully at everything on the screen by zooming out to get the big picture. This is important to do in Angry Birds Halloween, because the creators have found many ways to hide the very small green pigs and if any are overlooked, then the player fails that particular level.
Tips for Beating the Levels
Both Trick or Treat and Ham’O'Ween have the same game play, just different setups. In order to win any level, all the green pigs have to defeated using only the provided birds. The player can use all of the birds, but it is also sometimes possible to beat the level with just the first bird. Even though a lot of skill and thought has to be put into any strategy that aims at using only the first bird on the launchpad, the benefit is that each of the unused birds is worth 10,000 at the end of the level. This is valuable for everyone who wants to get not only the three star rating for the level, but also the high score.
The birds available in Angry Birds Halloween are the standard ones seen in the original game. There are the red, yellow, blue, black, white and green birds, as well as the large red big brother bird. The latter is great to have for any level, because he is extremely tough and can wipe out structures in one shot if aimed at the weak points.
Players that simply want to advance to the next level will have to kill all the pigs at least once. However, the levels on Angry Birds Halloween can be re-played as many times as one likes and that means there are plenty of chances to improve on high scores, find golden eggs and earn all three stars. The weakest spot on any structure in the level has to be targeted in order to get the most points and pigs with one bird.
The launch path of the bird is shown in the form of a smoky trail and if players need to hit a spot or particularly hard-to-beat pig more than once, then this trail can be repeated. On the other hand, if the bird missed the mark then this trail can be used as a starting point to adjust the next shot.
