The first titles for the 2012 seasons have also been released and so far there has been Ham'O'Ween and Wreck the Halls. In addition, there is the Angry Birds Rio edition which revolves around the settings and birds from the Rio movie. Presumably more titles will follow through the year and will coincide with various occasions.
Although the Angry Birds game was first developed for Apple devices and was sold through the Apple app store, there are now several formats to choose from. Players can enjoy the games on several different devices, including Mac and Windows based computers, smarthphones, tablets, and even the PlayStation Portable and PS3. Regardless of what device is used to play the game, it is a flash based one and thus requires updated programs in order to work correctly. Besides offering hours of challenging puzzles, the controls for the games are easily learned by players of all ages and it has a high replay factor on all platforms.
Purpose of the Game
This game is meant to be played by a single person and the ultimate goal is to save the eggs that were stolen by the green pigs. In order to keep the eggs, the pigs have various defense mechanisms like building shelters and wearing helmets. The player is shown cartoon clips telling the story for the stage being played every now and then, and although these are for entertainment purposes, they do reflect what the setting will be for the upcoming stages.

Key to beating a level, getting a high score or even reaching a golden egg is to know the differences between the birds. The Angry Birds game has a set of birds that the player will be given at the beginning of each level, and which ones are available is determined by the game and not chosen by the player. As a player advances through the levels, the difficulty increases and birds will be provided that are suitable for breaking through the structure sheltering the pigs. Players who know what the special power of each bird is will have better chances of success, because the birds can give a hint as to what the weakness is on the pigs' side. The most basic bird is the small red one, which is just launched by the slingshot. This bird has no special power, but others do.
